DTC 09

Fig. 20 Checking continuity between atmospheric pressure sensor & control unit.:

1. Check connections of atmospheric pressure sensor electrical connectors, repairing or replacing as necessary.
2. If connections are satisfactory, check for battery voltage at BW terminal of atmospheric pressure sensor connector.
3. If battery voltage is not available, check for open circuit in wiring harness from main relay to atmospheric pressure sensor.
4. If there is battery voltage, check voltage at BrW terminal of atmospheric pressure sensor connector.
5. If voltage is not 4.5-5.5 volts, there is open or short circuit in wiring harness from BrW terminal to EGI control unit or control unit is defective.
6. If voltage is 4.5-5.5 volts, check operation of atmospheric pressure sensor. Refer to ``Component Testing.''
7. If operation is unsatisfactory, replace atmospheric pressure sensor.
8. If operation is satisfactory, check continuity between atmospheric pressure sensor and control unit, Fig. 20.
9. If continuity is not as shown, check for open or short circuit in wiring harness.
10. If continuity is as shown, EGI control unit is defective.
