DTC 07

Fig. 19 Checking continuity between boost sensor (non-turbo) or pressure sensor (turbo) & control unit.:

1. Check connections of boost sensor (non-turbo) or pressure sensor (turbo) electrical connectors, repairing or replacing as necessary.
2. If connections are satisfactory, check for battery voltage at BW terminal of boost or pressure sensor connector.
3. If battery voltage is not available, check for open circuit in wiring harness from main relay to boost or pressure sensor.
4. If there is battery voltage, check voltage at BrW terminal of boost or pressure sensor connector.
5. If voltage is not 4.5-5.5 volts, there is open or short circuit in wiring harness from BrW terminal of boost or pressure sensor to EGI control unit or EGI control unit is defective.
6. If voltage is 4.5-5.5 volts, check operation of boost sensor on non-turbocharged models, or pressure sensor on turbocharged models. Refer to ``Component Testing.''
7. If operation is not satisfactory, replace boost sensor or pressure sensor.
8. If operation is satisfactory, check continuity between boost or pressure sensor and control unit, Fig. 19.
9. If continuity is not as shown, check for open or short circuit in wiring harness.
10. If continuity is as shown, EGI control unit is defective.
