DTC 01

1. Check connections of crank angle sensor electrical connectors, repairing or replacing as necessary.
2. If connections are satisfactory, check resistance of crank angle sensor. Refer to ``Component Testing.''
3. If resistance is not within specifications, replace crank angle sensor.
4. If resistance is within specifications, check for continuity between crank angle sensor and control unit, Fig. 40.
5. If continuity is not as shown, check for open or short circuit in wiring harness.
6. If continuity is as shown, EGI control unit is defective.
