DESCRIPTION

A modified torque converter has been installed at the assembly line since March 1, 1987. The torque ratio of the modified torque convener has been changed from 2.1 to 1.8 in order to improve the acceleration performance.

This modified torque converter is available as a service part for vehicles produced prior to the production change.



If a modified torque converter is installed on a vehicle produced prior to the VIN listed below, a new drive plate and backing plate must be installed as a set.
