Evaporative Check Valve: Testing and Inspection

1. Remove check and cut valve from engine.
2. Connect a suitable pressure gauge to fuel inlet line and, using a finger, plug other end.
3. Blow air through valve, Fig. 31. (Valve should open with .14-.71 psi pressure applied on 1986 B2000) or .78-1.00 psi pressure applied on all other models.
4. Remove pressure gauge and connect to atmosphere passage. Blow air through valve. (Valve should open with .78-1.00 psi pressure applied on 1986 B2000 models) or .14-.71 psi pressure applied on all other models.
5. Replace valve if operation is not as specified.
