Checking Voltage

1. Remove protector from Ignition side of connector.
2. Turn ignition switch to On position.
3. Measure voltage of terminals, Fig. 8, with selector lever in P and R ranges.
4. With selector lever in P range, there should be no voltage at f terminal and 12 volts at terminals b, c, d and e. With selector lever in R range, there should be no voltage at b, c, d and e and 12 volts at f terminal.

Checking Resistance

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect solenoid valve connector.
3. Measure resistance of terminals b, c, d, e and f. If resistance is not 14-18 ohms, replace defective solenoid valve. Terminal b is for solenoid valve No. 4, terminal c is for solenoid valve No. 3, terminals d and e are for solenoid valve No. 2 and terminal f is for solenoid valve No. 1.
