Fluid - M/T: Testing and Inspection

CAUTION: Check the transaxle oil while the vehicle is on a flat and level surface; change if necessary. Follow the steps below.

Checking




1. Remove the speedometer cable dust cover, hold the spring clip, and disconnect the cable from the speedometer driven gear.




2. After removing the bolts, insert a flat-tipped screwdriver between the speedometer gear case and the clutch housing to pry the gear case loose, remove the gear case from the housing.
3. Check that the oil level is between "F" and "L".
4. If not, supply the necessary amount of the specified oil through the gear case hole.
