Fluid - M/T: Service and Repair

CAUTION: Check the transaxle oil while the vehicle is on a flat and level surface; change if necessary. Follow the steps below.

Replacement




1. Remove the speedometer driven gear.
2. Remove the drain plug, and drain out the oil.
3. Replace the drain plug, and supply the necessary amount of the specified oil through the gear case hole.

Specified oil Type:
-18 °C (0 °F) or above: A.P.I. Service GL-4 or GL-5 (SAE 90 or 80W - 90)
-18 °C (0 °F) or below: A.T.F. type F (M2C33-F) or Dexron II
Amount: 3.4 liters (3.6 U.S qt, 3.0 Imp qt)
