COOLANT PUMP HOUSING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - 3.0L

Coolant Pump Housing










1. Drain the cooling system. See Removal and Replacement.

2. Remove the Throttle Body (TB). See - Service and Repair.

3. Remove the coolant pump belt. See - Coolant Pump Belt Removal/Installation.

4. Disconnect the upper radiator hose from the coolant pump housing.

5. Disconnect the lower radiator hose from the thermostat housing.

6. Remove the 2 coolant inlet pipe bolts.

- To install, tighten to 10 Nm {1.0 kgf-m, 89 in-lbf}.

7. Disconnect both heater hoses from the coolant pump housing.

8. Remove the 3 bolts, 2 nuts and the coolant pump housing.

- Remove and discard the O-ring seals and gasket.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm {1.0 kgf-m, 89 in-lbf}.

9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Install new O-ring seals and gasket.

10. Fill and bleed the cooling system. See Removal and Replacement.
