Window Regulator Grind Noise When Operating Window - Adjusting the Window Regulator

All Doors

1. Fully lower the affected window.

2. Lubricate both window runs with DuPont™ Krytox(R) grease from Rotunda squeak and rattle kit (164-R4900).

3. Fully raise the window.

Front Doors

1. Remove the front door trim panel. For additional information, see Service and Repair.

2. Remove the screw and the front door trim panel bracket.





3. Driver side shown, passenger side similar.Remove the 3 pushpins and pad assembly.





Rear Doors

1. Remove the rear door trim panel. For additional information, see Service and Repair.

2. Remove the screw and the rear door trim panel bracket.





All Doors

1. Position the watershield aside.Do not touch the adhesive surface during removal or installation of the watershield, as re-bonding will be impaired. If additional adhesive is required during installation, apply seam sealer as necessary to completely seal the watershield to the inner door.

2. Connect the window control switch electrical connector.

3. Using the window control switch, lower the window glass to gain access to the window glass fasteners.

4. Loosen the window regulator and window glass fasteners and retighten to finger tight.





5. Raise and lower the affected window 1 time.

6. Tighten the window regulator and window glass fasteners.

- Tighten the window regulator fasteners to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).
• Tighten the window glass screws to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).

7. If the regulator continues to make noise, install a new window regulator for the affected window. For additional Information, see Service and Repairor Service and Repair.
