TRANSAXLE DESCRIPTION




This automatic transaxle is a 6-speed transaxle with electronic shift control. It is designed for operation in a transverse powertrain for front wheel drive (FWD) and all wheel drive (AWD) vehicles.This transaxle has a 4-element torque converter design, which includes a torque converter clutch (TCC) and a geartrain with 3 planetary gearsets.The hydraulic control system of this transaxle uses 7 electronically controlled solenoids for:

- Shift feel (through line pressure control and shift pressure control)
- Shift scheduling and timing
- TCC operation
