Axle Tube Bearing Front

AXLE TUBE BEARING FRONT REMOVAL / INSTALLATION

Removal Note
1. Remove the right-hand driveaxle shaft.





2. Remove the right-hand axle shaft.





3. Use Impact Slide Hammer SST 49-0223-630B and Converter Seal Remover 307-309 (T94P77001-BH) or equivalent to remove the axle seal.





4. Use Axle Bearing Remover SST 49 UN01 032, Impact Slide Hammer SST 49-0223-630B and Adapter SST 49 UN11 011 to remove the axle tube bearing.
5. Clean the bearing and seal surfaces of any foreign debris.

Installation Note





1. Use the Axle Bearing/Seal Installer SST 49 UN01 028 and Driver Handle SST 49-F027-003 to replace the RH axle tube bearing.





2. Set bearing depth as shown.





3. Use the Axle Bearing/Seal Installer SST 49 UN01 028 and Driver Handle SST 49-F027-003 to replace the axle seal.

Caution:
^ Care should be taken not to damage the axle seal surface.

4. Install the axle shaft.
5. Refill the front drive axle to proper level using axle lubricant meeting specification.
6. Install the RH driveshaft.
