Map Light: Description and Operation

Map/Dome Lamp and High Mount Lamp Assemblies

- The GEM illuminates the map/dome lamp when any door is open or ajar.
- The interior lamps will shut off when:
- All doors are closed.
- Illuminated entry is not active (GEM only).
- Vehicle speed is greater than 5 mph (8 km/h).

- The interior lamps will not be reactivated until the vehicle speed is less than 3 mph (5 km/h) and a new door ajar warning switch signal is received (GEM only).
