Fuel Tank Mounting Straps: Service and Repair

1. Raise and support the vehicle.




2. Use a suitable jack to support the fuel tank.
3. Disconnect the pin-type retainer from the fuel tank strap and position the parking brake cable aside.

NOTE: For 4WD vehicles, it will be necessary to disconnect a wiring harness clip from the fuel tank strap.




4. Remove the bolts and the fuel tank straps.
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
