Flywheel: Service and Repair

FLYWHEEL REMOVAL / INSTALLATION
Removal
1. Remove the clutch.





2. Remove the bolts and the flywheel.
3. Clean and inspect the flywheel.

Installation





Note: Special bolts are used for flywheel installation; do not use standard bolts.

1. Install the flywheel.
^ Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown in two stages.
^ Stage 1: Tighten the bolts to 13 Nm {1.3 kgf-m, 10 ft. lbs.).
^ Stage 2: Tighten the bolts to 71 Nm (7.1 kgf-m, 52 ft. lbs.).
2. Install the clutch.
