Child Seat Tether Attachment: Service and Repair

CHILD SAFETY SEAT THETHER ANCHOR

1. Deactivate the supplemental restraint system (SRS): see SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEACTIVATION AND REACTIVATION.
2. Remove the affected seat.




3. On vehicles equipped with a bucket seat or 40 percent bench, remove the bolts and the child safety seat tether anchor.
4. On vehicles equipped with a 60 percent bench, remove the 60 percent bench seat; see FRONT SEAT BACKREST - 60 PERCENT BENCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.




5. Remove the bolts and the child safety seat tether anchor.
6. Install in reverse order of removal.
