Powertrain Wiring Harness Connectors
FUEL CHARGING WIRING HARNESS REMOVAL/INSTALLATIONRemoval
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. See BATTERY DISCONNECT.
2. Remove the upper intake manifold. See UPPER INTAKE MANIFOLD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.
3. Disconnect the engine control sensor wiring from the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor, the water temperature indicator sender unit and the camshaft synchronizer.
4. Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.
5. Disconnect the engine control sensor wiring from the mass air flow (MAF) sensor.
6. Disconnect the engine control sensor wiring from the fuel injectors.
7. Disconnect the engine control sensor wiring from the heated oxygen sensor connectors.
8. Disconnect the engine control sensor wiring from the oil pressure sensor.
9. Disconnect the engine control sensor wiring from the two transmission harness connectors.
10. Disconnect the engine control sensor wiring from the powertrain control module (PCM).
11. Remove the nut.
12. Remove the stud bolt and the ground strap.
13. remove the engine control sensor wiring.
Installation
1. Position the engine control sensor wiring.
2. Install the ground strap and the stud bolt.
3. Install the nut.
4. Connect the engine control sensor wiring to the powertrain control module.
5. Connect the engine control sensor wiring to the transmission harness connectors.
6. Connect the engine control sensor wiring to the oil pressure sensor.
7. Connect the engine control sensor wiring to the heated oxygen sensor connectors.
8. Connect the engine control sensor wiring to the fuel injectors.
9. Connect the engine control sensor wiring to the mass air flow sensor.
10. Connect the engine control sensor wiring to the engine coolant temperature sensor the water temperature indicator sender unit and the camshaft synchronizer.
11. Connect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.
12. Install the upper intake manifold. See UPPER INTAKE MANIFOLD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.
13. Connect the negative battery cable.
