Fuel Delivery and Air Induction: Service and Repair

PLENUM CHAMBER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Remove the instrument panel; see INSTRUMENT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.
2. Drain the radiator; see ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT.
3. Disconnect the heater hoses from the heater/evaporator core.
4. Remove the heater/evaporator core housing; see EVAPORATOR CORE HOUSING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.
5. Remove the nuts.

Tighting torque
3.4 - 4.8 N.m {35 - 49 kgf.cm, 31 - 42 in.lbf}.

6. Remove the plenum chamber.
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Lubricate the coolant hoses with coolant hose lubricant or plain water if needed.
