Torque Converter Flushing

TORQUE CONVERTER FLUSHING

CAUTION: Mineral spirits used to clean the torque converter must be fresh, non-chlorinated and non-halogenated.

1. Following the manufacturers instructions, flush the torque converter.
2. After flushing, drain the remainder of the solvent through the converter drain plug.
3. Add 1.9 liter (2 qt.) of clean Mazda ATF Type 5 fluid or equivalent into the converter fluid filler tube and agitate by hand.
4. Thoroughly drain the solution through the converter drain plug and impeller.
