Torque Converter End Play Check

TORQUE CONVERTER END PLAY CHECK





1. Install SST into the torque converter.
(1). Insert SST into the torque converter until it bottoms.
(2). Tighten the inner post until the tool is securely locked





2. Attach Dial Indicator with Bracketry to SST. Position the dial indicator bottom on the converter impeller housing and zero the dial.





3. Lift up on the SST and note the dial indicator reading. If the reading exceeds end play limits, replace the torque converter.
