Engine - Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair

ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL / INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Partially drain the cooling system.
3. Disconnect engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor connector.







4. Remove the ECT sensor.
5. Install in reverse order of removal.

Tightening torque
16 - 24 N.m { 1.6 - 2.4 kgf.m, 12 - 17 ft.lbf }
