Timing Chain: Service and Repair

TIMING CHAIN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Remove the engine front cover.





2. Remove the timing chain tensioner.





3. Align the timing marks.





4. Remove the bolt.





5. Remove the timing chain and the timing gears as an assembly.





6. Remove the timing chain guide.
7. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Timing Chain Installation Note
1. Install the timing chain guide.
Tightening Torque: 12 - 14 Nm (106 - 123 inch lbs.)





2. Align the timing marks.
3. Install the timing chain and the timing gears as an assembly.
