Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

MODULE INSPECTION AND VERIFICATION
1. Visually inspect for obvious signs of electrical damage.
^ Central Junction Box (CJB) Fuse 5 (10A)
^ Damaged wiring harness
^ Loose or corroded connectors
^ 4WABS control module
- If the concern remains after inspection, connect the NGS Tester to the Data Link Connector (DLC) located beneath the instrument panel and select the vehicle to be tested from NGS Tester menu.
- If New Generation Star (NGS) Tester does not communicate with the vehicle:
- check that the program card is properly installed.
- check the connections to the vehicle.
- check the ignition switch is in RUN position.
If the NGS Tester still will not communicate with the vehicle, refer to MODULE COMMUNICATION INDEX.
