Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair

EVAPORATIVE EMISSIONS CANISTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION




1. Lower spare tire out of the way.
2. Disconnect the fuel vapor hose.
3. Disconnect the wire harness from the canister vent retainer.
4. Remove the two nuts and bolts.
5. Remove in order shown in figure.
6. Install in reverse order of removal.

EVAPORATIVE EMISSIONS CANISTER BRACKET INSTALLATION NOTE

NOTE: Lubricate all O-rings before installation.




1. Install the canister bracket to the canister vent retainer.
2. Position the evaporative emissions canister.




3. Install the two nuts and bolt.
4. Connect the wire harness to the canister vent retainer.
5. Connect the wire harness connector to the canister vent solenoid.
6. Connect the fuel vapor hose.
7. Leak test the Evaporative Emission System.
