Throttle Body: Service and Repair
THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the accelerator control splash shield.
3. Remove the accelerator cable and the cruise control cable (if equipped).
4. Remove the accelerator cable bracket.
^ Remove the bolts.
^ Remove the bracket.
5. Remove, the air cleaner intake tube and duct.
6. Disconnect the Throttle Position (TP) sensor and the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve connectors.
7. Remove the crankcase ventilation tube.
8. Remove the throttle body.
^ Remove the four bolts.
^ Remove the throttle body.
^ Remove the throttle body gasket.
9. Disconnect the evaporative emission return tube.
10. Install in reverse order of removal.
