Water Pump Removal/Installation

WATER PUMP REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Drain the engine coolant.
2. Remove the cooling fan and fan clutch.
3. Remove the drive belt.
4. Remove the water pump inlet tube.
5. Remove in order shown in figure.





6. Apply grease to three locations on the water pump.
7. Position a new gasket and install water pump.
8. Install in reverse order of removal.
Tightening torque: 20 - 30 Nm (2.0 - 3.1 kgf.m, 15 - 20 ft. lbs.)

Steps After Procedure
1. Fill radiator with specified amount and type of engine coolant.
2. Start engine and check for leaks.
3. Bleed the cooling system.
