N - Ignition / Erratic Diagnostic Monitor (IDM)

Enter this Pinpoint Test only when service code 14, 16, 18, 19 or 45 is received during Quick Test, when directed here from Quick Test step 9.0 (Diagnosis By Symptom) or from IGNITION SYSTEMS.

This Pinpoint Test is only intended to diagnose the following:

1. Harness circuits: IGN GND, SPOUT, PIP, IDM, DPI, SAW.
2. ECA computer processor.

To prevent replacement of good components, be aware that these non-EEC areas may be faulty:

1. EDIS ignition module.
2. EDIS coil packs.
3. Spark plugs and spark plug wires.
4. Arcing secondary ignition components.
