Fig. 4 Front Windshield Wiper Motor Retaining Clip Removal & Windshield Wiper Transmission Replacement:

1. With wiper motor operating, disconnect battery ground cable when wiper blades reach upper limit of travel.
2. Remove wiper arm attaching nuts and the wiper arms.
3. Remove seal caps, then the wiper linkage shaft retaining nuts, cup washers and outer bushings.
4. Remove cowl plate attaching screws, then disconnect washer hose from nozzle and remove cowl plate.
5. Disconnect wiring connections from wiper motor, then remove wiper motor and link assembly retaining bolts.
6. Remove wiper motor and link assembly from vehicle.
7. Slide right hand pivot shaft and linkage assembly out through right hand access cover opening.
8. Remove left hand wiper arm and blade assembly.
9. Remove left hand linkage access cover and pivot nut, then lower linkage and slide out through access cover opening, Fig. 4.
10. Reverse procedure to install.
