Shift System

1. Ensure shift indicator flag is correctly positioned.
2. Place transmission shift select lever in the OD position.
3. Hang a three pound weight on end of shift select lever.
4. Raise and support vehicle.
5. Release lock tab on top side of cable by pushing down on two tangs.
6. Disconnect shift cable from transmission lever.
7. Shift transmission into OD position.
8. Connect shift cable to transmission lever.
9. Completely push down lock tab on shift cable, ensuring it fully engages, locking cable in place.
10. Lower vehicle, adjust shift indicator while transmission is in the OD position.
11. Remove weight and check for proper operation.
