2 Wheel Drive

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove selector lever knob, then shift boot panel assembly, boot and shifter lever.
3. Raise and support vehicle, then drain transmission fluid.
4. Remove speedometer cable and electrical connectors.
5. Place matchmarks on the driveshaft and rear axle for assembly reference, then remove driveshaft.
6. Remove engine support bracket from right side of the transmission.
7. Remove starter assembly, then the clutch release solenoid with the clutch pipe still connected.
8. Remove clutch pipe bracket, then clutch housing undercover.
9. Remove front exhaust pipe, heat insulator and exhaust pipe bracket.
10. Support transmission with suitable jack, then remove engine to transmission attaching bolts, and transmission upper and lower mounts. Lower transmission from the vehicle.
11. Reverse procedure to install.
