Fig. 6 Lower Arm Replacement:





1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove wheel, remove caliper assembly and hang it on the shock absorber assembly, Fig. 6.
3. Remove compression rod.
4. Using press tool No. 490118850C or equivalent, separate tie rod end from the steering knuckle.
5. Using press tool No. 490727575 or equivalent, separate lower ball joint from knuckle.
6. Remove lower control arm attaching bolt and nut, then remove the arm with the dust boot.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten to specifications.
