Carburetor
1. Check engine condition (spark plugs, leaks in hoses, etc.).
2. Turn all electrical loads "OFF."
3. Warm up engine to normal operating temperature.
4. Connect tachometer and timing light.
5. Check that idle speed is within specification:
800 ± 50 rpm in "P" (A/T) or neutral (M/T)
Timing Mark:
6. Check that timing mark on crankshaft pulley and mark on timing belt cover are aligned to specification:
6° ± 1° BTDC

7. If ignition timing is not within specification, loosen distributor lock bolt and rotate distributor housing to adjust.
8. Tighten distributor lock bolt to 14 - 19 ftlb (19 - 25 Nm).
