Air Injection Control Valve: Description and Operation

ACV Solenoid Valve:

^ The ACV (air control valve) solenoid valve is an ECU controlled component of the air injection system.
^ When energized by the ECU, the ACV valve allows vacuum to activate air control valve #2 (part of air injection reed valve "A").
^ Reed valve "A" supplies secondary air to the exhaust manifold when #1 or #2 air control valve passages open and when both are open.
