EGR Valve Position Sensor: Description and Operation

Exhaust Gas Recirculation System (EGR):

^ The EGR position sensor detects EGR valve lift position and sends a corresponding signal to the ECU.
^ The signal varies from approximately 0.7V at idle up to 4.7V during driving.
^ The ECU senses the amount of recirculated exhaust gas by EGR valve lift position and calculates opening duration of the vacuum and vent solenoid valves.
