Heater Core: Service and Repair

Fig. 1 Heater & A/C System Interior Components:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then drain engine coolant.
2. Disconnect heater hoses from heater unit and remove grommet.
3. Remove instrument panel, refer to Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators/Instrument Panel/Service and Repair.
4. Remove heater unit attaching nuts and bolts, then the heater unit, Fig. 1.
5. Remove heater core from heater unit.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
