Throttle Full Close Switch: Description and Operation

The idle switch signals the ECU when the throttle is closed, indicating a deceleration or idle condition (the ECU decides which condition is present by comparing the idle switch indication with the engine speed). This is a normally open spring loaded switch. The throttle lever closes the switch when in the idle position.
