Floor Shift Cable and Bracket

Removal
1. Remove the center console.





2. Disconnect the shift cable.
^ Remove the shift cable from the transaxle range selector lever.
^ Depress the tab on the shift cable and remove the shift lever.





3. Remove the rear air distribution duct.
4. Pull the carpeting back. Disengage the rubber grommet from the floor pan.





5. Remove the shift cable from the selector lever and the .





6. Remove the shift cable and the bracket.

Installation
1. From inside the vehicle, feed the shift cable and the bracket through the floor. Seat the rubber grommet into the opening in the floor pan.





2. Position the carpeting.
3. Place the selector lever in OVERDRIVE. Attach the shift cable to the selector lever and install the shift cable.





4. Move the selector lever to the OVERDRIVE position. Install the shift cable onto the selector lever and the transmission shift cable bracket.
5. Install the rear air distribution duct.
6. Install the center console.
