External Controls

The transaxle shift control linkage consists of:
^ a steering column of floor-mounted transaxle range selector lever.
^ a connecting the column to the transaxle range selector lever.
^ an on floor-shift vehicles which connects the transaxle range selector lever to the steering column lock assembly.

The ignition/shifter interlock cable:
^ locks the transaxle range selector lever in the PARK position when the ignition switch is in the LOCK position.
^ requires the transaxle range selector lever to be in the PARK position to turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
