System Reactivation Procedures
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.WARNING: The air bag simulators must be removed and the air bag modules installed and reconnected when the system is reactivated to avoid non-deployment in a collision, resulting in possible personal injury.
2. Wait at least one minute for the backup power supply in the Restraints Control Module (RCM) to deplete its stored energy.
3. Remove the air bag simulator from the vehicle harness connector at the top of the steering column.
4. Install the driver air bag module.
WARNING: Carry a live air bag module with the air bag and trim cover pointed away from your body. This will reduce the risk of injury in the event of an accidental deployment.
