HESITATION - DURING STEADY STATE OPERATION BETWEEN 64-72 KM/H (40-45 MPH) AND/OR 96-105 KM/H (60-65 MPH) - VEHICLES BUILT THROUGH 10/18/1999

LINCOLN:
1999-2000 CONTINENTAL

ISSUE
Some vehicles may exhibit a hesitation/trailer hitch feel during steady state operation at 64-72 km/h (40 to 45 mph) or 96-105 km/h (60 to 65 mph). This may be caused by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) calibration.

ACTION
Reprogram the PCM with the revised calibration. The revised calibration should reduce the possibility of hesitation. Refer to the following Calibration Information Chart.
