ISSUE
Some vehicles may exhibit a hesitation, stumble or stall during low speed parking maneuvers or after releasing the throttle following operation of the traction assist system. This may be caused by the calibration of the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
ACTION
Verify condition. If normal diagnostics cannot pinpoint the condition, reprogram the PCM with the latest level calibration using the Worldwide Diagnostic System (WDS) or the New Generation Star (NGS) Tester. Refer to the appropriate model year Workshop Manual for PCM reprogramming instructions. Refer to the PCM Calibration Chart for reprogramming information.
SERVICE INFORMATION
Obtain an Authorized Modifications Decal (FPS 8262 - obtainable through DOES II, 25/pkg) and list the date, dealer number, and summary of modifications performed. Select a prominent place adjacent to the Vehicle Emission Control Information Decal suitable for installing the Authorized Modifications Decal. Clean the area, install the decal, and cover it with a clear plastic decal shield.
