Installation

1. NOTE: Sealing surfaces must be clean and dry before applying sealant.

Clean sealing surfaces of the LH cylinder head and the LH valve cover.





2. Install the new spark plug bore 0-ring seals.





3. Install anew valve cover gasket in the LH valve cover.





4. NOTE: The bolts and studs must be installed and tightened to specification within four minutes of sealant application.

Apply Silicone Gasket and Sealant F7AZ-19554-EA or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSE-M4G323-A4 in two places where the engine front cover meets the LH cylinder head.





5. NOTE: When positioning the valve cover do not damage the gasket.

Position the LH valve cover.





6. Install the bolts and studs.





7. Install the air suspension relay bracket.





8. Connect the engine control sensor wiring to the air suspension relay.





9. Install the four ignition coils.





10. Position the engine control sensor wiring and install the two nuts.





11. Connect the engine control sensor wiring to the four ignition coils.





12. Position the ignition coil cover and install the bolts.





13. Install the crankcase ventilation tube.
14. Install the water bypass tube.
15. Connect the battery ground cable.
