Brake Proportioning/Combination Valve: Service and Repair

Removal
1. Remove the battery tray.





2. Disconnect the lower brake tubes from the brake pressure control valve.





3. Slide the dust seals up from the brake tube fittings.





4. Disconnect the upper brake tubes from the brake pressure control valve.





NOTE: The brake pressure control valve is serviced only as an assembly.

5. Remove the screw that retains the brake pressure control valve as an assembly on the frame. Remove the assembly from the vehicle.


Installation











1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
- Bleed the brake system.
