Floor Console
REMOVAL1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. If equipped, disconnect the cellular phone antenna cable and coaxial cable.
3. Remove the console glove compartment.
^ Disconnect the power point electrical connector.
^ If equipped, disconnect the cellular phone antenna cable and coaxial cable from the console glove compartment.
4. If equipped, remove the compact disc changer.
1 Remove the screws.
2 Disconnect the electrical connector.
3 Remove the digital audio compact disc player.
5. Place the gearshift lever in the 1 position.
6. Remove the console top panel.
^ Disconnect the cigar lighter electrical connector.
7. Remove the floor console to floor bracket screws.
8. Remove the floor console to gearshift bracket screws.
9. Remove the floor console.
1 Slide the floor console rearward.
2 Remove the floor console.
^ Disconnect the three electrical connectors.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.
