ISSUE:
A "cracking" or "squeaking" noise along the "A" pillars and across the windshield header may be heard during cold weather operation at 35~ F (2~C) and below. This occurs because the leading edge of the front door rubs against the windshield moulding finisher lip moulding and the finisher lip moulding rubs against the windshield header.

ACTION:





Apply "Krytox Oil" lubricant to the top surface of the windshield moulding finisher lip along the "A" pillars. Also apply "Krytox Oil" to the bottom surface of the finisher lip across the windshield. Refer to Figure 1.


NOTE:
THOROUGHLY CLEAN SILICONE LUBRICANTS FROM ALL SURFACES OF THE FINISHER LIP AND THE LEADING EDGE OF THE FRONT DOOR WITH NAPHTHA.
