Throttle Body: Service and Repair

Throttle Body:

REMOVAL:

1. Disconnect the throttle linkage at the throttle lever, and disconnect the throttle position sensor.
2. Remove the four throttle body bolts.
3. Carefully separate the throttle body from the intake manifold adapter.
4. Remove and discard the gasket.
5. Clean the gasket sealing surfaces.



INSTALLATION:

1. Install throttle body, new gasket and the four bolts to the adapter.
2. Tighten the bolts to 8.0-11.0 Nm (6.0-8.5 lb.ft).
3. Connect the throttle position sensor and the throttle linkage.
