Removal and Replacement

Air Bypass Valve:

REMOVAL:

1. Disconnect the air bypass valve assembly electrical connector from the wiring harness.
2. Remove the two bypass valve retaining bolts.
3. Remove air bypass valve and gasket.

INSTALLATION:

1. Clean gasket mating surfaces.

NOTE: If scraping is necessary, DO NOT damage air bypass valve or the intake manifold gasket surfaces, or drop material into the manifold.

2. Install a new gasket and air bypass valve.
3. Install retaining screws and tighten to 8.0-11.0 Nm (71.0-102.0 lb.in).
