The oil cooler and hoses are revised to include quick connect fittings for attachment. The fittings on the hoses are integrated with the hose assembly and cannot be disconnected (Refer to Figure 9).
Be sure when attaching the hoses to the oil fitter adaptor at the engine block that the color codes are matched. Match the colors by orientating the paint stripe at the hose with the vertical rib between the two oil filter adapter nipples. The color code at the oil adapter can be identified by the painted dot on the side of the nipple. The swivel nuts at both ends of the hoses are to be torqued to 25-30 ft.lbs. Use of a second wrench is mandatory to prevent repositioning of the hose during attachment.
