Removal and Installation

CAUTION: While repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of contaminants or premature failure of the power steering components can result.

1. Using a suitable suction device, siphon the power steering fluid from the power steering fluid reservoir.
2. Remove the 2 power steering fluid reservoir nuts and lift the reservoir from the mounting studs.
^ To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs).
3. Release the clamp and disconnect the power steering return hose from the power steering fluid reservoir.
4. Release the clamp and disconnect the power steering reservoir supply hose from the power steering pump.
^ Remove the reservoir.
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Fill the power steering system.
