Normal Operation
Under normal operation, the auto-dimming interior mirror receives power from circuit CBP31 (BN/OG) and ground from circuit GD133 (BK). If the vehicle is placed in REVERSE, voltage is sent to circuit CE510 (GN/BN) and the auto-dimming mirror will turn the dimming feature OFF.
When the dimming is activated, voltage is sent from the interior mirror to the LH exterior mirror though circuit LRD12 (BU/GY). Ground for the LH exterior mirror is provided by the interior mirror through circuit RRD12 (BN).
Possible Causes
- Open in circuits CBP31 (BN/OG), GD133 (BK), CL510 (GN/BN), LRD12 (BU/GY) or RRD12(BN)
- Short to ground in circuit LRD12 (BU/GY)
- Inoperative auto-dimming mirror
